Iranian regime-run Fars news agency reported: “It is quite clear that the establishment of peace and security in the Middle East is not possible without Iran’s agreement,” Supreme Leader’s Deputy Representative to the Revolutionary Guard Mojtaba Zolnour said. He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran is an authoritative power with a key role in all international equations.
Elsewhere, Zolnour highlighted the Basij militia forces’ efforts. He added: “The Basiji is the most important force in quashing serious threats against the country by foreign powers who wish to agitate Iranians against the ruling regime. Basijs have played a key role in confronting and repelling threats against Iran since the early years of our glorious Revolution.
Earlier this year, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Mohammad-Ali Jafari announced that Basij forces have been assigned by the Supreme Leader to fight the threat of soft regime change plans against the Islamic Republic by foreign enemies by pitting the people of Iran against it’s leadership.
“The Supreme Leader has decided to assign this meaningful responsibility to IRGC and Basij who will stand against those who want to hurt the tight relations between the Leader and his people.”
